Political
Action Committee Chairperson
The role of
this committee Chairperson is to provide general information to
Chapter members regarding current and pending legislation
that has the
potential to impact upon the benefits and welfare of our POW/MIAs, veterans,
and their
surviving family members.
The committee
is headed by an Chairperson appointed by the Chapter President.
The
Chairperson receives guidance and direction for his/her activities
from the Vice President of the Chapter.
Major duties/responsibilities
include:
Reviewing
information from Rolling Thunder National as well as other media
sources to identify
legislative
issues that have the potential to impact upon POW/MIAs, veterans,
as well as
their surviving family members.

Preparing a
one page, monthly summary report due in on the 1st of each month
"in a
MSWord.doc file form" on the committee's activities for the
preceding month. |

This report
will include:
Chairperson's Name
Date of the Report
Report for the
Month of:___, 200 ___
Related Legislation
Passed and
signed into law since the last report
Currently
pending action and short summary of status |
|
Distribution
of approved information contained in the monthly report to the Chapter
membership by
providing briefings at monthly chapter meetings. |
|
Providing/recommending
key legislative links in a MSWord.doc file format
that may be
considered for posting on the Chapter's Website. |
|
Is to meet
with the Chapter President and Vice President on an as needed basis
to discuss the
duties, responsibilities, expectations, and limitations of their positions. |
|
Other duties
as may be directed by the President or Vice President of the Chapter. |
