This writing to invite as many members of Rolling Thunder as possible
to an event next week at VFW Post 1970 in west Nashville.

Over the past year, I've been honored to host a National radio program from the Post to raise awareness for VFW's Nationwide. The program, called "Writers The Road" airs on XM Satellite Radio channel 171.  We talk to the trucking industry about the song writing industry.  We get the top writers and industry executives to come and and perform and tell stories about their path in the industry.  This coming Thursday August 9th, our guests include Writers James Dean Hicks (Jesus and Mama), Jason Matthews.  These two writers were recently filmed while writing songs for a new television pilot called The Writers Block".  They, and their co-writers were given a topic and two hours to write a song while being filmed for the show.  The topic the writers were given was "Motorcycle".  They came up with two great songs that they will be debuting on the 9th.  In addition to the radio program, we'll be taping the conclusion to the tv pilot.  I'd like to have as many motorcycle enthusiasts as possible in the studio audience.  Because of our efforts to raise awareness for VFW's, having the a strong presence from the Rolling Thunder would be awesome.  I will definitely mention your presence on the radio program and those who show up will get some on screen time.  Please let me know if there is any way you can get Rolling Thunder on TN involved. I've attached a flier for the event and an mp3 of my tribute to our veterans called

What They Gave To Me.mp3

My father served in the Navy, my Grandfather in the Army.  I too wanted to serve but I was born blind.  I gained partial sight in my right eye at the age of two.

This song is my way of saying thank you.
