Corporal Jason Dane Hovater,
Age 24 formerly of Lake City, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2008 in the line of duty while serving in the United States Army in Afghanistan. Jason was a member of the Lake City Christian Fellowship Church where he loved to worship the Lord. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Hank Sullivan and Joseph and Lura Hovater. He is survived by wife, Jenna Hovater of Heiskell; parents, Gerald and Kathy Hovater of Lake City; brothers, Joe Hovater of Oak Ridge, Jesse Hovater of Lake City. David Bunch of Clinton, Darren Hovater of Lake City, Sean Hovater of Lake City; sister, Jessica Davis and husband Brian of Norris; grandmother, Audrey Sullivan of Crossville; special friends, Justin and Sheryl Phillips of Lake City; a host of aunts and uncles; many friends. The family received friends at the Lake City Christian Fellowship Church on Monday, July 21, 2008 from 5-8 PM with the funeral service following at 8:00 PM with the Rev. Justin Phillips officiating. Family and friends will ment at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at the Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City and proceded in funeral procession to the East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville for a 11:00 AM graveside service. Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City was in charge of all arrangements.
