James David (Tiger) Connell Jr.   
 United States Army Sgt. 1st Class

Sgt James Connell age 40, of Evans Mills, New York, died serving his country in Iraq on May 11, 2007. David was dedicated to God, his family, country and community. He was a decorated soldier and a hero. He was a charter member of the Lake City Optimist Club. He was the defense coach of the semi-pro football team Watertown Red and Black Football. He coached countless numbers of baseball, soccer and football teams in each community he lived in. He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. R.G. Connell of Tifton, GA and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Willard Hill of Clinton, TN. He is survived by his children: step-daughter Ashley Lynn Meyer of Evans Mill, NY, son Nicholas Ryan Connell, daughter Courtney Lynn Connell, son Bryan Tyler Connell, parents James David and Brenda Sue Connell, siblings Jeffery Lynn Connell and wife Pam, Robert Lee Connell and wife Stephanie, Mark Stephen Connell and wife Tonya, sister Angela Connell Reynolds and husband Mark Reynolds, nephews Joshua Ridenour and wife Tami, Aaron Connell, Seth Reynolds, Matthew Connell, Zack Connell and great nephew Bradley Ridenour.

The family received friends and family at Clear Branch Baptist Church in Lake City, Friday,
May 18, 2007, from 4 PM to 7 PM
Services were performed by Rev. Tom Byrge at 7 PM.
Visitation continued until 9 PM.

We're under the understanding that the Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City, TN is in charge of arrangements.

We put in a call to James Family,
but we never heard back so we didn't attend his services in Lake City.



Jame's Interment was held in Arlington National Cemetery on Friday May 25, 2007 at 10:00am with full Military Honors While thousands of us were up there for The Ride To The Wall so those of us that could be there that day attended his services along with a contingent of other Rolling Thunder Members from across the Country.
