Activity Report

Sunday
May 4th

We had an honor guard meeting for a practice Flag Raising
at the Knoxville Harley-Davidson on Clinton Hwy this coming Sunday, May 4th. at 1pm.

Everyone was welcome to come and participate,
It would a good idea if other folks learn so as to step in in case they are needed in the future.  It would be really nice to have this thing to where we could actually have two honor guards at the same time.

This event also turned out even better then we had hoped for.

1st off, It was a fantastic weather day.
2nd, most of us arrived late due to staying at the airport to welcome home 3 more soldiers we found out about while we were there for the first one's landing.  It turned out that something came up at the home that caused our time with the Vets to run behind an hour which turned out perfect.  The main bunch arrived at 2pm and paraded the bikes around the parking lot for all the residents to see prior to our visiting with them all.

Invite to all:
We will be unveiling our War Memorial Monument for Desert Shield, Iraq, and Afghanistan on Armed Forces Day
on May 17th at 1:00 pm at the Hamblen County Courthouse.

This is a big event and we should honor all of our Veterans. In conjunction with this, the other 4 monuments from WW1, WW2, Korea, and Vietnam have been restored and made new again. We will also be placing flowers on those memorials as well. Please tell each person you see. Also, please pass this on via e-mail to anyone who rides a motorcycle, honors veterans, the veterans groups such as the VFW, American Legion, all National Guard Units, Militiary Reserve units, but most importantly the Desert Storm, Afghanistan, and Iraq soldiers.

Please try to wear your militiary uniform that day.
Also, bring an American Flag to wave in honor of all our brave men and women who have and are still serving.

If you want to ride in with us on the motorcycles please meet us at Colboch Harley Davidson
