Some came from Clay & Mary to aid us in Razzing our Buddies lol

In The Beginning!

Sitting on the side of an interstate in Johnson City, TN,
where Scott & Mary's scooter decided take a break on the on ramp to the interstate.

Scott

Wouldn't ya like to know what he was thinking at the moment lol.

Mary & Donna and one very nice gal named Kay
from TN4 in Johnson City, TN, who stopped to see if she could give us a hand.
We did our best to talk her into going along with us to DC lol.

Unloading Scott & Mary's Scooter at Smith Harley Davidson in Johnson City, TN.

The folks at Smith HD were really super.
Even after having to tow the bike in they wouldn't accept any monies.

Finally after the heavy rains subsided in Johnson City we made a run for it
and made it to The Blue Ridge Parkway for the 2nd leg of our trip.

Friday Nights Candle Light Vigal

This year Donna and Clell each had the honor of escorting two Blue Star Mothers through the Ceremony at The Wall.

Pics from Scott Golden's photo shoot at the Wall
while we were there Saturday which will be used for The Veterans Business Journal Magazine in the next month or so.

This was a shot at a beautiful plaque
someone left at the foot of the wall for one of their loved ones.

This year once again we were priviledged and entrusted with the security and escort of Colonel Nyuen Kim Ban.
On a good note this year we didn't have to do it alone lol.

Donna & I (Clell) had the help of
Jack, Rez, Maria, Jeff, Debbie and 4 others to aid us
in the task of keeping the Colonel's Convoy of vehicles and people within them safe which worked out just great.

This year I put the two mean ones "Donna & Maria" in the back to guard the rear.
As you can guess we didn't have so much as even one person invade our space from the rear during the entire ride lol.

after Artie, Gary and some other from national broke off to head for the White House to meet with President Bush

The Trip back to Tennessee

Paying the piper really barks lol.

Scott's Scooter gave it up again
on Hwy 66 just about 5 miles west of DC so here we go "again"

This time his scooter was DOA so after about a 3 hour wait learning what it's like to be trolls under the bridge thanks to a smart woman named Mary we all got back on the road again.  And wouldn't ya know it by this time it was raining cats n dogs lol.

After they got it back home and took it to KHD it was found that an add on called a Power Commander which is what had been failing all the time. Had we known any better we could have taken it out of the line it was installed in and went about our merry way back home.

These two pics were taken just after Rez said to his darling wife

"I want my Ring back!"

Our hotel for the night had the look of Memorial Day in Bagdad lol

After we got our room here for the night we lit out UHaul Style to the local Pizza Hut

After catching up on some well needed food & stuff
we once again "bravely" all loaded up in Scott & Marys Trusty Harley haulin UHaul
and bounced our way to a local 711 store where things almost got mean.

It seems that a couple of our folks were suffering from something they called monkey butt
and they almost took out poor little Mary fighting over the last bottle of powder left in the 711 store lol.
We won't mention any names here to protect the innocent lol.

The Winner of the battle over the baby powder.

We left there about 10:00am and arrived back home safe n sound about 8:30pm.
It was one very very long trip but it was worth every minute of it!
